On August 3, 2022, an ADDITIONAL FREE survey of citizens of Ivano-Frankivsk region took place on the basis of the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology of the Prykarpattia National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk with the participation of local mass media. Screening of the population was carried out thanks to the new equipment received.
About thirty people were able to pass the screening, which included determination of body weight, height, waist circumference, blood pressure and pulse; the level of capillary blood glucose, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP+Hs-CRP), the level of individual forms of lipids (total cholesterol, triglycerides, low- and high-density lipoproteins, atherogenicity index) and the level of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) in the blood.
All examinees received a comprehensive health report and information leaflets/brochures. In addition, some people had the opportunity to undergo spirometry and cardiography and receive both an assessment of the state of the lungs and heart, as well as qualified advice from a cardiologist on the possibility of developing cardiovascular diseases.
